DTC Inspection
1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC?2.
2. Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS..
If any DTC related to the ignition coil/ion sensor is present, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting..
Visual Inspection
NOTE:
Because the ion sensor is integrated in the ignition coil, replacing the ion sensor includes replacement of the ignition coil/ion sensor.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Remove the plug hole plate..
3. Remove the ignition coil/ion sensor..
4. Verify that there is no damage to the ignition coil/ion sensor, and no corrosion and damage to the connector.
If there is a malfunction, replace the ignition coil/ion sensor..
Inspection Of SST (Deployment Tool) [Two Step Deployment Control System]
Ion SensorCondenser Removal/Installation
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Discharge the refrigerant..
3. Remove the front under cover No.1..
4. Drain the engine coolant..
5. Remove the following parts:
a. Plug hole plate.
b. Air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct component.
c. Coolant reserve tank.
d. Cooling ...
Adaptive Front Lighting System (Afs) Off Switch Inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Remove the switch panel..
3. Verify that the resistance between AFS OFF switches B and C is as indicated
in the table.
If the resistance can be verified as indicated in the table, go to the next
step.
