Purpose/Function
The automatic transaxle warning light illuminates when the transaxle has malfunction.
Construction
The automatic transaxle warning light is built into the instrument cluster.
Operation
If the transmission has a malfunction, the TCM sends an automatic transaxle warning light illumination request signal to the instrument cluster.
The TCM illuminates the automatic transaxle warning light for approx. 2 s
after the ignition is switched ON to perform a bulb check of the automatic transaxle warning light.
Liftgate Latch Switch Inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Liftgate upper trim.
b. Liftgate side trim.
c. Liftgate lower trim.
d. Liftgate latch and lock actuator.
3. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.
