Observe the safety precautions.

If you open the luggage compartment lid, the power luggage compartment cover will move into position 1 or 2.

Folding the outer backrests

Depending on the vehicle equipment, it may be possible to fold the backrests forward separately or together.

Observe the safety precautions.

Folding the outer rear backrests forward and backward

Locking the outer backrests

Applies to: sedan

To prevent access to the luggage compartment from the vehicle interior, the backrests can be locked with the mechanical key in the lock 3 when the backrests are latched in place.

Locking and unlocking the center backrest

Applies to: sedan

To prevent access to the luggage compartment from the vehicle interior, the center backrest can be locked and unlocked from the luggage compartment.

Partition net (upright backrest position)

The partition net prevents objects from sliding from the luggage compartment into the passenger compartment.

Tie-downs

There are tie-downs 1 in the luggage compartment to secure pieces of luggage and objects.

Cargo net

Light objects can be secured in the luggage compartment using the cargo net 2:

You can transport dirty and damp objects on the reversible cargo area floor.

If luggage or cargo is to be carried on the roof, you must observe the following:

Note

Make sure that the open luggage compartment lid and the tilting/sliding sunroof* or panoramic glass roof* do not come into contact with objects on the roof.

For the sake of the environment

Energy usage will increase because of the increased wind resistance. Remove the roof rack when you are no longer using it.
